Our Sydney/Newcastle Offices have the following requirements:
1. A Civil designer/Drafter with 8-10 years experience in general civil design covering all or some of the following: Subdivisions, Stormwater Management, Bulk Earthworks and Dredging. The applicant must be competent using 12D and AutoCad. This could be a permanent or contract position in either of our offices. 2. A Civil Drafter with 2 to 3 years post training experience to work in our Sydney Office Urban Design Section. Project work undertaken would be as outlined above. 12D experience is not a requirement, AutoCad experience is required.
3. Two Structural Drafters with 4 years plus experience to work in our Sydney Office. Knowledge of Maritime structures or Sewage Treatment Works Structures would be a benefit. Our company covers a variety of different disciplines so if you are tired of drawing building after building, we offer an alternative. These positions are Contract, however Permanent could be considered for the right person.
Our Sydney Office has the following requirement:
1. A Senior Environmental Engineer/Scientist with at least 8 years experience in a similar position with well developed and demonstrable skills in client liaison, proposal writing, project management and technical reporting. The applicant would be required to have experience in environmental planning, impact assessments and investigations for coastal projects. A good understanding of the range of relevant legislation at State and Commonwealth levels is required. Candidates should ideally have consulting experience in dredge related projects and sediment quality investigations.
2. A Civil Engineer with 8 years+ experience in water and wastewater with an ability to run with projects, manage staff, work in multi-disciplinary teams and has a ‘can do’ mentality.
3. Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead a team of junior engineers and technical support staff practicing in floodplain management and solution of hydraulic problems associated with open channel flow. The applicant would be required to provide problem solving insight to junior staff as well as day to day planning of investigation activities to ensure timely completion of investigation reports and other deliverables of high quality. The successful applicant will have had experience with mathematical modelling of complex hydraulic systems and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Our Newcastle Office has the following requirements:
1. A Senior Maritime Structural Engineer with at least 8-10 years experience in a similar position with well developed and demonstrable skills in client liaison, proposal writing, project management and technical design and reporting. The applicant would be required to have experience in design of maritime structures, investigation of deteriorated structures and reporting. A good understanding of the range of relevant legislation at State and Commonwealth levels is also desired. Candidates should ideally have consulting experience in port related projects and heavy maritime engineering. In addition, there is the possibility, given the right set of skills, and suitable mentality to develop into a team leader of engineers and technical support staff within the organisation.
2. A Senior Civil / Water Resources Engineer with 8 years+ experience with an ability to run with projects, manage staff, work in multi-disciplinary teams and has a ‘can do’ attitude. The candidate would have a minimum degree in Civil or Environmental engineering, specialising in stormwater and floodplain management and solution of hydraulic problems associated with open channel flow and pit / pipe drainage. The applicant would be required to provide problem solving insight to junior staff as well as day to day planning of investigation and design activities to ensure timely completion of investigation reports, concept and detailed designs of stormwater and floodplain management measures and other deliverables of high quality. The successful applicant will have had experience with mathematical modelling of complex hydrologic, hydraulic systems and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Our Sydney office requires the following engineers:
1. Two maritime/structural engineers with 5 to 8 years experience and an interest in maritime structures and water retaining structures.
2. Two Civil Engineer’s with either 1 to 3 or 4 to 7 years experience in environmental / civil engineering with a background in water and wastewater. Experience in design and investigations and/or Environmental Impact Assessments preferred.
Depending on experience, the positions will involve technical input, managing projects, client liaison and managing other technical staff. Duties could also include investigations, inspections, design, tender documentation and possibly contract administration. There will be a mix of design, modelling, report writing and site/field work.
Applicants must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and have the ability to relate well to both clients and colleagues.
