The Structural Maritime Group specialises in all types of structural engineering projects located in a marine environment. The group is involved in approvals, investigation, planning, design, documentation and construction projects associated with waterfront development, port, coastal and estuary developments.
The challenge with maritime structures is to design durable, technically sound structures that can endure the harsh environments they are subjected to. Patterson Britton has been involved in investigations and research of structures in respect to durability and this has enhanced their structural durability expertise.
The group has undertaken various marine projects in NSW and around Australia. Patterson Britton’s senior personnel are well respected throughout the marine industry and are recognised for their expertise in marine works design. Andrew Patterson, Principal of Patterson Britton & Partners, is the Chairman of the Maritime Structures Australian Standards Committee, and also chairman of the committee for Guidelines for Design of Marinas.
The group also has an impressive track record in other structural areas such as general civil structures, water retaining structures, bridges and general building work.
